We also invite you to share a brief note about Mary — or how she impacted you or someone you know — as a way to help us continue telling the story of the kindness she so naturally gave to others.

My mom was my best friend. And I know so many of you feel the same way. Somehow she had that ability. She made each of us feel like we were her favorite.

She cared for people in a way that I don’t even have words for.

It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t for attention. It was just who she was. She showed up. She checked in. She sent the card. She made the call. She remembered the small things. She never met a person she didn’t care about.

She was the protector. The encourager. The life of every party — and somehow also the safe place in every aspect of life. But she also understood something deeply personal — even when you’re surrounded by people, illness and caregiving can feel isolating. And she knew not everyone has the kind of family and friends she had.

That is why I created the Living Kindness Fund. The Living Kindness Fund exists because my mom lived kindness — she didn’t just talk about it.

It supports: • Caregivers who are exhausted and silently carrying the weight of caring for others • Individuals facing cancer or autoimmune diseases • Lung transplant patients

It exists to be the help that sometimes doesn’t show up.

And the reminder that you are not alone.

The greatest way we can honor her…is to live like she lived.

To check in. To show up. To care. To protect. To give.

That was my mom.

Mary was such a pleasure to work with! She always had a smile on her face and made others laugh even when work was stressful! She was a kind caring person who never complained about what life was throwing at her! May her legacy live on and continue to touch others who are struggling! She’s left a positive impression for all to follow her as an inspiration & example of love & dedication.
